cryeffect Media Group – “The last cry” of personalized IT
Who are we?
We are Alex Görsch and Peter Müller — two friends who have known each other since 2005 and have shared a common passion ever since: programming. What began as a childhood interest quickly became a vocation — code is more than just a language to us; it’s an expression of our creativity and our bond.
This passion gave rise to the idea behind the “cry” story. Our first digital footprints were left with sites like crycode.de and cryeffect.net, which laid the foundation for our later vision. In 2009, the idea matured to bring our projects together in our own media group — the unofficial birth of the cryeffect Media Group.
In 2011, our first major project followed with cryhost.de, under the motto: Private Server Management. This set our focus on customized, stable, and secure hosting solutions under a new central name. In 2016, we expanded our portfolio with our own VPN — a step toward independence and control. In 2017, we reached a technical milestone by operating seven private servers simultaneously.
A year later, in 2018, we moved completely to Hetzner — our powerful hosting partner who met our growing requirements.
Since 2022, close friends have entrusted us with their data and servers. Taking responsibility for their cloud infrastructure was more than just an assignment — it was a sign of trust.
In February 2025, our long-held vision finally became reality: the official founding of cryeffect Media Group Görsch & Müller GbR. Over the years, numerous scripts, tools, and custom software solutions have been created — tailor-made, efficient, and developed with great attention to detail.
The cryeffect Media Group stands for digital services with soul, grown from true friendship.
We currently operate a total of 9 servers at four different locations in Germany and the EU.
This ensures data safety and failover resilience, and we comply with the strict requirements of the GDPR.
With our many years of experience, geo-redundant setup, daily backups, and continuous monitoring of our servers and services, we offer strong and reliable services — tailored to our customers’ needs, with competent and direct support.
