Who we are
We are Alex Görsch and Peter Müller — two friends who have known each other since 2005 and have shared a common passion ever since: programming. What began as a childhood interest quickly became a vocation. For us, code is more than just a language; it is an expression of our creativity and our bond.
This long-standing collaboration led to cryeffect Media Group Görsch & Müller GbR, which we officially founded in February 2025.
The cryeffect Media Group stands for digital services with soul, grown from true friendship.
Our history
- 2005: We meet and start programming together.
- 2009: Early projects such as crycode.de and cryeffect.net lead to the idea of bringing our work together under one shared name.
- 2011: With cryhost.de, we launch our first major project under the motto “Private Server Management”.
- 2016 to 2018: We expand our portfolio with our own VPN, operate several private servers, and subsequently move completely to Hetzner.
- 2022: The first close friends entrust us with their data and servers. This responsibility becomes the starting point for the services we offer today.
- 2025: The cryeffect Media Group is officially founded, turning years of private experience into a professional offering.
Over the years, we have created numerous scripts, tools, and custom software solutions — tailor-made, efficient, and developed with great attention to detail.
How we work today
We operate a geo-redundant server infrastructure at multiple locations in Germany and the EU. Daily backups, continuous monitoring, and a multi-layered security concept ensure reliable operations.

Alongside our customer work, we run cryeffect.net, an independent, primarily German-language technical magazine. It covers topics such as Linux, IT security, privacy, self-hosting, and digital sovereignty — subjects that also shape our daily work.
