What does our email hosting offer for your company?
Our email hosting lets your company use professional email addresses with your own domain, with security for you and your customers as top priority.
Professional appearance
With your own company domain (the part after the @), you present a trustworthy and consistent brand — unlike public email providers. Customers can immediately associate emails with your business. Your own domain is a key building block for successful marketing.
Security, availability, and data protection
All inbound and outbound emails pass through two redundant mail gateways.
These gateways filter spam and malware, route incoming messages to the correct mailbox servers, and sign outgoing emails so sender authenticity can be verified.
Thanks to geo‑redundant gateways in different data centers, email communication is usually maintained even in the event of an incident. If one gateway fails, the other takes over — no emails are lost.
Using modern encryption and verification techniques, messages are transmitted encrypted where possible and incoming emails are checked for sender authenticity (e.g., DKIM/SPF). It’s also much harder for third parties to send forged emails in your name.
All your data is stored securely in Germany and handled with strict confidentiality. Daily backups at different locations protect your data even against unforeseen events.
Direct support
If you ever have issues, we help quickly and work with you to find a solution — not days later. Our support system records and documents everything.
Add‑ons and scalability
We offer a range of additional features for your mailboxes: multiple email addresses per mailbox (aliases), autoresponders, forwarding, and webmail. You can create custom folder structures and filtering rules so incoming emails are automatically sorted, forwarded, or rejected.
As a special extra, all your outgoing emails can be automatically appended with a text snippet (e.g., a privacy notice). That way you’re covered if such text must never be missing.
Your company is growing and you suddenly need more mailboxes? No problem — our services scale easily.
Need reliable automatic archiving of all inbound and outbound emails? Also no problem: see our page on email archiving.

FAQ
How do I access my emails and send messages?
Access is via your email client, preferably using IMAP. POP3 is also possible. Sending uses SMTP. Both retrieval and sending use encrypted connections and require your mailbox login.
Do I need special settings in my email client?
Usually not. We support the common Autodiscover/Autoconfig standards so your client configures itself after you enter your email address.
How is storage divided among mailboxes?
By default we split total storage evenly across mailboxes. For example, with 3 mailboxes and 15 GiB total, each mailbox gets up to 5 GiB. We can adjust this distribution to your needs.
What happens when my mailbox is full?
At 80%, 95%, and 100% usage you automatically receive notifications to reduce usage. At 100%, new inbound emails are rejected and the sender is notified. The last incoming message may exceed the limit.
What are alias addresses?
Alias addresses are additional email addresses pointing to one mailbox. A mailbox has one primary address and can have multiple aliases. Both primary and alias addresses can be used for sending.
Example: user2@crymg.de
is an alias for user@crymg.de
. Emails to both arrive in the user@crymg.de
mailbox.
What are auto-alias addresses?
Auto‑alias addresses are automatically treated as aliases for existing addresses — free of charge and without extra setup. The separators -
and +
can be used between the local part and the alias.
Example: user-abc@crymg.de
and user+abc@crymg.de
are equivalent to user@crymg.de
. Emails to any of these land in the user@crymg.de
mailbox.
Which checks are performed on inbound and outbound emails?
All emails passing through our systems undergo automated checks to ensure security and effectively protect you against spam and malware.
Inbound and outbound emails are thoroughly scanned for spam and viruses. For inbound mail, additional checks such as DKIM signature validation or SPF are performed to ensure the sending server is authorized. Blacklists and whitelists are also supported.
Inbound emails recognized as spam are delivered to the Junk folder or moved to the mail gateway quarantine, depending on probability. Recipients receive a daily quarantine report to deliver or delete messages. If a virus is found, the email is moved to a secure quarantine and not delivered; we can manually inspect it.
Outbound emails classified as spam are blocked and the sender is notified — this protects your reputation and increases delivery success. If a virus is detected, the email is blocked and the sender is notified.
