Includes setup, maintenance, and administration of a managed server tailored to your needs. Note: the server itself is not included in the base package and is billed separately based on required performance. Individual services such as web hosting, databases, or other software may also be billed separately.

Technical implementation and locations
Virtual server (VPS)
Our managed servers generally run as virtual servers on powerful hardware in German data centers. Virtualization enables flexible upgrades, snapshots, and full backups.
Depending on performance requirements, you can choose cost-efficient systems with shared CPU resources or systems with exclusively reserved CPU resources. Fast NVMe SSDs and high-performance network connectivity provide the technical foundation.
Physical server
If your requirements call for a non-virtualized physical server, we plan the hardware and operation individually with you. Pricing depends on configuration and availability.
Server locations
We operate managed servers in German data centers by default. Locations elsewhere in the EU, such as Finland, are also available on request.
FAQ
Are servers operated in Germany?
Yes — all servers are operated in Germany and designed for privacy-compliant operation in line with GDPR requirements.
What software is installed?
Depends on your needs. We install and configure the software required for your services.
Can I manage the server myself?
Generally not planned — our managed servers are fully administered by us to protect their security and stability. Especially with less experienced users, self‑administration can lead to issues we proactively avoid. If you still need access, talk to us and we’ll find a solution.
Can I upgrade/downgrade?
Upgrades are always possible. Downgrades are usually fine unless SSD storage would have to be reduced — that would require re‑provisioning and downtime. CPU/RAM‑only downgrades are typically no problem.
Is my server and services monitored?
Absolutely. We monitor all servers and services 24/7. See our server status. We can also set up custom notifications for you.
How is my managed server secured?
Modern security measures such as regular backups, firewalls, DDoS protection, and intrusion detection reduce risks and support reliable operation. All inbound/outbound emails go through our central gateways and are scanned for spam and viruses.
